Download (legally, I hasten to add) the source code for the Apple ll DOS here (http://www.computerhistory.org/atchm/apple-ii-dos-source-code/). Yeah, I know, it's long been obsolete by now but Woz's low-level drivers were revolutionary in their day. Up until then, it had all been done in hardware.
