Post up more car stuff. There were a lot of similar era videos on the sidebar. The president of AMC was one of them, talking about and showing off the AMX and the Javelin.
Have any favorites?

Some old Studebaker stuff...

Saw an Avanti on the road just a couple of days ago. Can't even remember the last time I saw one before that. Always liked the way they looked.

Modern tires and modern suspension, a couple of engine upgrades and that car would be a Porsche killer.

I had, briefly, a '50 Studebaker "Bullet Nose" Commander, with overdrive. As I recall, you had to pull out a knob on a cable much like a choke cable to engage it. Damn near gave it away when I sold it. Probably worth a fortune these days. Same with my '55 Ford Crown Vic. Who Gnu?

This is interesting. I had a VW for a while. You know this prototype was worthless if the frame and body weighed over 1800 lbs.

The Bird, man. The Bird.

If they setup the Daytona/Superbird like they were as srock cars, I have no doubt they'd beat a Porshe or 'vette.

I think I rode one of these as a kid. It was a NY Taxi and it was big inside and rode the infamous bumpy streets very well.

Well the Lark was 2600 lbs with the 90 hp six cylinder. The Porsche engine was probably comparable. The V-8's were a different story.

You will need a 16mm socket and a 13mm socket. A screwdriver to pry a couple of parts and some cleaner. A dental pick may be useful to remove broken connector sleeve from the interior of the harness end of the positive clip. Disconnect battery.
Lift the front of the vehicle, loosen 16mm bottom nut and top bolt. Remove bottom nut then top bolt. Pry clip which supports transmission cooling lines and slide out of the way enough to pull starter. Pull starter and rotate connectors to access. Remove 13mm nut connector to large tab, remove and then spray cleaner on plastic connector. Manipulate clip to remove. Pull back harness and finish removing starter motor. Inspect plastic connector for debris.
Basically reverse steps to install new starter. Easy peasy. Don't let vehicle fall on you.

And don't disturb any of the mud, dirt, and debris around the starter or anywhere else. That's all that is holding the vehicle together.
