Meh. Never liked the book all that much and Orson Scott Card is a world-class jerkoff (http://www.cracked.com/quick-fixes/4-big-reasons-orson-scott-goddamn-lunatic/).

Good Grief, the guy sounds like a complete asshole. No thanks.

On the gay thing, the expression "self-hating" comes to mind.

Join the next generation of weirdos... ban thirds and watch the aliens whittle down our numbers. Never again; that's what Jews say about the Holocaust, how original. Who thinks of this crap?

"Good Grief, the guy sounds like a complete asshole."
Listen more carefully next time, the distinctive rattle indicates a few parts missing.

He is, and I agree. But I do like his books. The Ender Wiggin saga is excellent reading. YMMV.

Heinlein was a bit of a knob as well. You know, Biggus Dickus. But, I grok his writing.

David Brin is still my favorite S.F. author, and good guy in real life.

Note to admin/mods... you can move this to the Entertainment area, I screwed up.

As you wish!

BTW - your fingers seem to be stuck in a Chinese finger trap. :-D

"Heinlein was a bit of a knob as well."
Ultra right wing politics with ultra capitalist economic leanings... I'd say so.

"You know, Biggus Dickus."
That was Mel Brooks.

"But, I grok his writing."
I too feel like A Stranger In A Strange Land, it takes me forever to fully understand some things and they come to me while unconscious curled up in a little ball.

You know, Biggus Dickus.
That was Mel Brooks.

In fact, it was Monty Python.

It must have been the Roman Red wrapped in papyrus fogging my mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQ7jHHC2bvg Those tire tracks are awfully wide for chariot wheels, must be the camera truck.

Just finished seeing "Enders Game" at the theater.

Just go see it, even if you haven't read the book.

Stilson invented the wrench, Bonzo was a monkey. I don't know whether to watch the movie or play video games. I don't know if it's a video game or reality. I'm all confused, it started when I had a virtual vacation on Mars implanted in my brain...........
