Well, I figure it this way...

Cover of Sports Illustrated last week: Cutch. Result: Pirates swoon.
Cover of SI as of today: Not Cutch. Pirates clobber Padres.
Coincidence?
============
Of course, the news covered ITLAP Day. Complete with everyone who dressed the part in the stands. KDKA bills an "extra special" story, which, of course, they put on at the very end of the newscast. Anyone want to venture a guess?

Time's up.

Couple came dressed as Pirates of the Caribbean characters. He was Capt. Jack Sparrow, she was the wench from the 4th movie, Angelica. During the 7th inning stretch, he proposed. She accepted. And the TV cameras were, conveniently enough, there to catch it all.

Film at 11. It's online already: http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2013/09/19/raise-the-jolly-roger-man-pops-question-to-girlfriend-at-pirates-game/
