Vinnie Jones, a third-rate British actor living in Hollywood, casts his intellectual judgment on the United Kingdom by describing it as "Past it's sell-by date". Why some of the press have given publicity to this I don't know but here to prove we are as up-to-date as the rest of the world are a few pictures of the latest in our road transport:

Uhh What?

This reminds me of a diner I went to with an rather Posh Englishman and a fellow from down under. All of us were entertained by the little of the slang we could follow as they went to great lengths to poke and prod each other. Some of the time we were just plain confused.

Two (or three) nations divided by a common language, according to George Bernard Shaw, or Oscar Wilde, or Winston Churchill, or whoever the hell said it.

Hi Archie...We have a lot of this slang down here that probably leaves the world shaking it's head...."Fair suck of the sav" means "fair go mate" which means "give us a break"...Sav is short for savaloy or hot dog..Fair dinkum mate, you need to spend a few weeks in Oz...You probably won't want to go home...We are really too easy going, Bullshit is a favorite pass time...I think it goes with the beer and BBQ culture...But don't get our backs up or we want to fight...After a good pub brawl which usually finishes up in the dust outside a pub, we all retire back for a few more beers before starting the second round...Nobody really gets hurt and we are all mates afterwards...We never hold grudges..
