Has anyone heard from Rob lately, or know if he left or why? A search shows he hasn't posted in quite some time; or maybe I just missed his last post.

Word is, he's happier leaving this place alone.

I wish him well, and would be OK with getting together with him (he's local), but I leave that up to him. He has a full plate with family and work issues, and was having more fun with photography than anything else.

Not that I'm keeping score, but does he count as a liberal or conservative that got "run out of here"? :dunno:

He's a good man, and I miss our PM's. Especially when we were on the staff together.

Thanks for the info. Early on, I talked with him a lot about the Nikon D7000, and had a few questions to ask him. I'm sorry that he felt he needed to leave, and hope it is only a self imposed vacation. You're right, he is a good man, and added a lot to the site.

He's done with "social media", misses some of us. And that's about it.

I don't think he'll be back anytime soon, if ever. Oh well.

I know he has an Ebay account, but I don't think Da Pope has a papal account.

I pm'ed Rob several times. He is one of the good ones. I wish him all the best, and hope to chat with him again someday. He is missed. :(
