That would have been, Feb, 15th. 2009. High Point NC. Apparently, it's the only place to go to get away from the kids on Valentines Day. The cleaning staff was working late into the evening and you could hear them constantly commenting on the smell.

I have to say, cyclists are more photogenic. At the midpoint of a similar run, I'd have one eye closed due to sweat, gasping and grunting for air with a booger halfway down my nose.
We aren't pleasant people to look at.

One of our high-school metal shop projects was a plumb bob. I was the one who figured out how to Transformerize the thing into a pipe...and back. But I never smoked the stuff, just helped a few of my bruddas out.

This is long for me. Much shorter for years. Never much of a hippy tho ponytail in early seventies. Dog never had a haircut, lets her freak flag fly.
Pretty cool seeing all these mug shots, a bunch new to me with a few surprises. Warren I imagined YOU with long hair given your exuberant and entertaining posts from Ospreyville.
Oddly, everyone looks like a vaguely responsible adult, but you know what they say, the camera always adds a couple of hundred points to the credit score.

For dinner? Naw, LucyF looks like a sweetie. Then again so does my Ola, but once I had to pull her off the neck of a bleating faun, which escaped to its mother in the bushes nearby,fortunately preoccupied by my girlfriend's bigger bear chaser of a dog, such that my pooch didn't get kicked to kingdom come. This whole scene just erupted outa nowhere in the back yard when the loose dogs flushed the deer. Just a reminder that the jungle isn't just out there.

Its not, you care for them just the same. They are a little more prone to predators because of the decreased vision due to the top knot feathers, but other than that they are regular birds.
My show birds were fed special diets, and were bathed and groomed regularly, but normal farm birds are just like any others.
