Ayep. They're still out there. Thing is around here, the cops still use Ford Crown Vics and they regularly sell their CVs often with spotlights and sometimes bumper guards intact. It would be nothing for a whacker to wack it out in full on wack shwag. Our local popos have also greatly increased the level of unmarked cars they use and the biggest difference now vs unmarks in the past is that the antennas are no longer visible through the roof/trunk etc and they are running civilian tags and flashy lights embedded further back in the grill and INSIDE the turn signal lenses and headlight housing.
I guess WE in SC did not learn our lesson about unmarked troopers/deputies/HP in the 90s when a woman from Miami was pulled over and thought the cop was fake as he literally pulled her out of her car through the window while she was still buckled in.
