What's shocking, is I thought all cat and dog foods needs to meet the same safety standards as food for human consumption (Due to people consuming it in poor economic climate)?

Thanks for the heads-up, George. We feed our cats a mix of dry food and Avoderm canned but I know a few people who buy the recalled stuff for theirs.
