I haven't shaved since I was 21, and got out of the service. My wife and kids have never seen me without a beard. Now it's too late as I fear if I shaved they would go screaming off into the woods, or desert.

I would spend with dollarshaveclub in 1 month what I generally spend over the course of 6 months. My blades are $1.09 per pack: http://www.amazon.com/Wilkinson-Classic-Double-Blades-1-Pack/dp/B0012XTITI/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1375199015&sr=8-8&keywords=wilkinson+blade

No. I just discovered them yesterday because my partner spends a metric shit-ton of money on blades every month.

I just wax mine because I always run out of shaving cream. The surface area is just to much for those 32 oz shaving cream cans.

I sure as hell don't want to see what's in his hand...and I don't think it was poker...it's pocket pool.

I used to use a Gillette "Mach 3 or 4" (or whatever the heck they call it), with vibrating handle, low battery indicator, auto shut off, and blades that cost around $20+ dollars for a pack of 5 (or is that three).

But that all changed a year or so ago. I bought an old fashioned stainless steel handle. The kind that were common in the 1940's and 50's. The kind that holds the regular standard double edge razors. I use "Wilkinson Sword" double edge blades. They cost me about $1.99 for a pack of 5 and they last a long time. The shave is just as good as with the expensive fancy vibrating handle. Instead of shaving cream or gel I use a cake of Williams shaving soap (about $2.50 per cake). One cake lasts for months. I use a badger hair shaving brush. I get an excellent shave and shaving now costs me a fraction of what it used to cost.

Yeah, its retro but works fine for me.

I am sure it has many advantages. But its kind of pricey. Even some of their shaving soaps sell for $50.00+ dollars. I am sure its better than olain ol' Williams or Colgate but the price is a bit steep.

You can find pretty ok deals on Art of Shaving stuff, at (Shockingly) Sephora. The wife buys it for me, and she can usually get a set (Pre-shave oil, lather, and after shave) for about $20, and it tends to last me about 2 months or so.

Lions and sharks fight over who will do my morning shave for me. The winner gets to use the flame thrower to trim my facial locks. Once done, i let out a hearty belly laugh, put on my red flannel and stocking cap, grab my axe and head out to chop down a thousand trees, till 500 fields and save a baby from a burning building. My morning poo is gold coins, which i give to the grateful villagers to buy bread.

So yeah, shaving.

Me too but not to save money. The razors with more than one blade seem to irritate my skin a lot. As do many shaving lathers. I use simple cake soap for shaving. Without ointments and all that stuff. I no longer have irritated skin.
