Looks like a great site. Ive got an I gate running on a Raspberry Pi, using a Argent Tracker and for a radio Baofeng HT. I read in the Xastir manual on line that the recommended beacon time is 30 minutes. I go to EDIT, Configure, timing. In the upper left is the timing for the TX. Click OK then go back to EDIT config. at the bottom is Save Config Now. That's suppose to lock it in. I've done this several times and it always 30 minutes when I look at the times it beacons on the map. Any ideas??
You can see me on the APRS-fi map. KN5UPS-10
TKS for any help.
John
Also might advise me if i'm in the wrong section.

I'm not sure what your issue is? Sounds like it's beaconing every 30 minutes? Or, is it beaconing on the 30, every hour? If the latter, I would suggest putting 0,30 as the beacon time in the config.

Welcome to the Island John.
Can't help with your question at all, John, but welcome to the Island none the less. Have the Barkeep pour you the adult beverage of your choice and put it on my tab. Don't be polite, make it top-shelf stuff—the Vatican accountants never pay anyhow.

It's my understanding the Vatican accountants do pay ........ apparently it seems the type of currency they pay with leaves one with a lot of questions being asked! :snicker:

I'm your uncle Ernie and I welcome you to Tommy's Holiday Camp!
Eh, wrong location but welcome anyway. I don't see a question or a problem but I do have an idea, your beacon is operating properly and as intended. It beacons at whatever intervals it's set for, usually 30 minutes starting the moment the instruction is entered. If you want it to beacon on the hour and half hour (I don't see why) click on "OK" either on the hour or half hour.
"...apparently it seems the type of currency they pay with leaves one with a lot of questions being asked!"
Communion wafers for coins certainly is an odd currency but at least they don't melt in your pocket like those gold foil wrapped bits of chocolate.
