My spinich is rusty, but I believe it says something to the effect of tremendous video clip of junior brown accompanied by the beach boys

But then about the only thing I can say well in spanish is to ask for a beer, ask where the bathroom is, and to either get a pretty girl to kiss me, or slap me

Seems kinda pricey, nice but pricey. Someone on tappistry.org supposedly has one and says the necks are fabulous. Bunker uses those same neck on his regular guitars those are about par pricing wise for most customs. I would still prefer to really try something like this before I would plunk down a commission fee.
I don't think I want to spend that much considering it cost more to buy then the possibly imported to the USA, next year, Indian made TATA car @ $3000.00 here $2500.00 there.

As Tom might say it is really oogly, pretty much a death trap, and kinda slow for the local highways, maybe 60 mph with the wind behind it

Shea Stadium for me.
Police: Synchronicity
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0A154OavghI

It did tick me off a bit as we went out of our way to get really close seats and that at the last minute they opened up the field for general admission. It really would have been more annoying if they had not made use of the big screens to provide us with some detail of the performers on the stage. Great sound system everything sounded awesome but staring at ants on a stage would have been really annoying

Yes your so right I forgot about him... I was looking into steel a year or two ago and learned about him.
The instrument that caught my attention most was the Harmos
http://harmosmusic.com/SG/indexSG.htm
He plays on some of their sample, really impressive.
However I took the cheap route to see if it was really for me, cheap lap steel, it wasn't. I want a fret without a doubt. I played about with violin for a few years but have reverted to instruments with frets. Now I am working on two hand tapping which seems to suit me best.

That was cool as hell. I have thought about trying to mod one of my less expensive acoustics to put a tremolo on it. It seems as you would have to install some sort of reinforcement to the underside of the wood.. I'm betting thats why they made the hole in the backside, to install reinforcement.

Yeah plus there are a set of springs that return the tuning to the normal position. I have had these locking tremolo units on instruments I have owned. After a while you need to replace the springs as the instrument can start to out of tune when you strum to hard, when they get worn out. They had to do some sort of bracing just to hold the tremolo in place, nah you can't just cut a hole that for sure... :)
The video is very simplified and might show half the actual work. But then it wasn't a howto just a fun video to entertain you while you listened. More amusing then watching someone sit there, right :)

I have basically spent the week relaxing, taking my meds, I am feeling much better. It was a combination of an anxiety attack and a hypertensive attack.

I am doing much better tonight, although I am a bit miffed that the local PBS station pre-empted their usual broadcast of the Red Green show.

I had a buddy from HS who was in love with the Dixie Dregs. He was in a music family. His dad played steel guitar. He played drums. When I first talked to him, he told me that he played drums and I was thinking to myself, Hey self, I never saw him in the school band. Well, turns out that he played professionally like at clubs and wedding receptions. He also said that he did not play guitar very well, but could outplay anyone on the radio.

The old brain is churnin right now. When did he introduce me to the Dixie Dregs? I was graduated from HS in '76. It had to have been b4 '79.

He was always freaked out over bands who were not popular. Bob White was one such character. But alas, there is nothing on YouTube with his work that I can find. I have the vinyl album in my hands.

Oh the inhumanity.

I tell everybody that our second child was born just outside Austin City Limits. Over south of Parmer Lane between Burnet and I-35. He was born at home. At the time, the place we lived there was unincorporated.

There's no place like Austin. I saw the Pflugerville area in 1999, and man oh man, it had grown so big since we left in 1992. I need to go back. I flew to Guadalajara last year and saw Austin from 35,000 feet, but that is a ways up there.

One of the greatest things that was ever created in Kansas was that band. Robby Steinhart, as I found out later, had lived in a house across the alleyway from my grandfather. I never knew him. Never met him. Kansas radio stations wanted to play homegrown band music, but for a large part, this was a stretch from the Judy Garland style music Kansans seemed to love so much.

But the band Kansas has a very progressive and unique sound that made it stand out in the 70's. It was not the most popular band, and if it was, I would not have enjoyed their music.

Good stuff!

Swimmin' in the sea of neocons in tobacco city ...

I've been a Dream Theater band since I first met them. I had the chance to meet them when they were in the studio recording Images and Words back in 1992.

If you get the chance pick up their Score DVD set. excellent live set and a history of the band.

My bad. I can understand not liking Marty Croft but what's wrong with girls?
Hey you know, we can't all be alike. That's OK. I won't hold it against you.
Just one of those things that was running through my mind from my Saturday morning past growing up in this great nation we call, These Here United States.
Just kidding. Mid 70's was a strange time that marked the end of the Marty Croft era. Personally, my brother and I would always make fun of that show everytime it came on.
Uh, I'd do both of them.
