I went form a recognized family name in the UK to now being an inbred 4 lander factory worker OH and not to forget.... the Islands favorite floor mopping janitor. That’s cool though because when you are thought to be a fool, nobody expects you to impress everyone with brilliant words of wisdom.

Funny as hell. Passed that one around at work.
Seriously, they have this deal on the interweb at work about dealing with different cultures and such about greetings, gifts, meetings, personal contact and such...but they had the American one written up a week or so ago. It said $hit was ok to say in meeting, but hold off on the f bombs. Actually spelled out in the Guide. English is the official company language.
So we mustta said $hit about 100 times at the weekly meeting.
Them Danes crack me up. I'm sure there was a meeting about this.

One of the bigger talents in Europe:

Human Equation - "Loser"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtAhlPcdh9c

Flight of the Migrator - "Dawn of a Million Souls"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7jf70Uoj9o

Arjen Lucassen, The Ayreon Project.

Not a "band" but a musician that brings together a lot of other talent for a project.

And of course not with a "major" label or having that generic "proper" sound not terribly popular.

You have to hear the whole albums though, "songs" dont really cut it.

GOT BRASS IN POCKET
GOT BOTTLE I'M GONNA USE IT
INTENTION I FEEL INVENTIVE
GONNA MAKE YOU, MAKE YOU, MAKE YOU NOTICE

GOT MOTION RESTRAINED EMOTION
BEEN DRIVING DETROIT LEANING
NO REASON JUST SEEMS SO PLEASING
GONNA MAKE YOU, MAKE YOU, MAKE YOU NOTICE

(CHORUS)

GONNA USE MY ARMS
GONNA USE MY LEGS
GONNA USE MY STYLE
GONNA USE MY SIDESTEP
GONNA USE MY FINGERS
GONNA USE MY, MY, MY IMAGINATION

'CAUSE I GONNA MAKE YOU SEE
THERE'S NOBODY ELSE HERE
NO ONE LIKE ME
I'M SPECIAL SO SPECIAL
I GOTTA HAVE SOME OF YOUR ATTENTION GIVE IT TO ME

GOT RHYTHM I CAN'T MISS A BEAT
GOT NEW SKANK IT'S SO REET
GOT SOMETHING I'M WINKING AT YOU
GONNA MAKE YOU, MAKE YOU, MAKE YOU NOTICE

(CHORUS)

'CAUSE I GONNA MAKE YOU SEE
THERE'S NOBODY ELSE HERE
NO ONE LIKE ME
I'M SPECIAL, SO SPECIAL
I GOTTA HAVE SOME OF YOUR ATTENTION
GIVE IT TO ME
'CAUSE I GONNA MAKE YOU SEE

Good I figured some one would enjoy some good old art rock from the 70's
If your tempted to purchase any of their music I figure I should warn you of one thing.
Don't buy the studio albums as they are way overworked. Fortunately I managed, quite by accident, to first acquired a live album they released in 1975 of their tour in 1974. Another unfortunate factor is that their studio later re-released, against the bands wishes, a different version of the live album which is not so good.
A lot of the clips are from a DVD released in cooperation with the band which is probably their best live works available today GG at GG I believe is the one referenced in the youtube clips most frequently.

Yeah their albums were going around for a bit they played a bunch of colleges and bars early on so that spread the word

There are nearly full sets of performances of theirs in google video so if you have a mp4 player you can download them and play them.

Ah, yessss... another great from Aqualung. Interesting that Anderson never considered that album his best work, or even close.
Loco Breath on the new Yamaha makes me long for the bong.

Here's one to start the weekend. Mellow, but the studio version kicks arse.
