Western Union quit sending them in 2006 and went into the money order scam business with the backing of the Nigerian government.

India is the last country in the world that has an official network--and that ass backward place is stopping the key and sounder the middle of next month.

Over 160 years, it was a good ride while it lasted. Pretty soon, nobody will know what the hell you are talking about when told a singing telegram joke... :-?

I remember the only times you'd get a telegram was if someone died or was getting married. Usually it was a death in the family tho.

The hell I do. I use Twitter just like everyone else. Well, except when I'm sending messages to God, anyhow; that guy is so old-school that he still uses AOL.

Gawd, AOL subscribers were always the worst...
In fact, I totally blame AOL for the sad state of cybersociety to this day.

Nah—Armageddon will occur when she finally discovers this place. Fortunately for us, AOL has it blocked, but should she ever get a real ISP, we're all in big trouble.
