Google Maps Right now

Yeah yeah. I know people get pissed when I link to Google Maps, but I thought I would point out this little ditty.

Zoomed out, the Hamvention does not show up, but zoomed in, you can see the flea market. No shit volcano in 2013. I even found my car parked where I parked it at.

They're using different photographs taken at different times; at some point, they switch to the "close up" (you can actually see the 'swap' when it happens)

Actually, what I found even more interesting is that both of the fields on Wolf Road, behind the Arena Chrysler car dealership & the state auto emission facility appeared vacant, and between the closed dealership (across Shiloh Springs from the arena). In years past, those field would be full of cars. And gahd help you if there'd been rain and they were muddy. (Some cars at the closed dealership, but nothing in the field behind it)

On Edit: On the close-ups, there are some cars parked across Wolf Road from a building marked "Hillcrest Seventh Day Adventist"

So I wonder if the answer is... those fields were bought by that church, one of which was used for their new building (and others as well... see the building marked as the "North Dayton School of Discovery" ... private school? charter school? magnet school?) and their own parking needs and/or future expansion needs. And as a result, they're no longer leased out for parking.

Here is my Town Car parked at the Hara Arena. I have almost the BEST parking spot in the lot, only about 20 feet from the Ballroom Entrance where I go in for the ARRL EXPO! Of course, it is a LONG WALK to the Flea Market, but the Flea Market is a long walk from ANYWHERE!
