Bands are open. Short time ago, worked R75FOC on 17 CW, like he was next door.

And the Pirates beat the Tigers 1 - 0 in extra innings... 3 out of 4 in the home & home series, and 3 straight to boot. Life is good.

Just worked WB5JKO in TX on AM at 14.286 with about 40 watts. A little rough, but it worked. Neato, also.

It's funny, but I just passed my 30 year anniversary as a ham (5/27/1983) and I never got a 10-10 number.

Oh the humanity!

I got one way back when. I think I've exchanged numbers twice in all those years. There was a time, before internet and such, that they had some interesting stuff in the news letter. I have no idea what it has become, but every so often, I hear some one calling CQ 10-10........................................... for hours on end.

The only thing like that I ever did was the 3.767 Geratol net in 1990. I got the cards from all 50 states and never bothered to send them in. The west coast card checker Jackson something (I'm sure he's gone) lived in Mill Valley, CA not far from where I lived and lived across the street from a license plate collector friend of mine. I could have driven over there and gotten it verified, but I never bothered.
