"Scientists look away because it's very uncomfortable to them." -- Don Donderi, PhD.

Don Crosbie Donderi, PhD, a scientist who studies human vision and memory, looks at the UFO evidence and concludes that

Some UFOs are extraterrestrial vehicles
Some ET vehicles have ET crews
Some ET crews “catch and release” humans: they study us.

Donderi explains that:

Psychologists know why most scientists and governments reject or ignore the UFO evidence
Much of what you read about UFOs from official sources is wrong or incomplete
The public needs reliable UFO information for an intelligent discussion about the impact of extraterrestrial contact.

Whoever you are, wherever you went to school and whatever you thought you knew about UFOs, this book presents facts that will challenge your understanding of the universe.

About the author:

Don Donderi began his professional career as a research psychologist with IBM where he helped to develop radar navigation displays for the B-52 bomber. He entered the University of Chicago at 15 and graduated with a B.A. at 18 and a B.Sc. in biological psychology at 21. After graduating from Cornell University with a PhD in experimental psychology he joined the Faculty of Science of McGill University, where he taught undergraduate psychology, trained PhD students and served as Associate Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research. He has written over one hundred basic research papers and technical reports dealing with the science of human visual perception and memory, co-authored one textbook and edited another.

ETs are easy to spot. I saw a documentary about it. They have cone shaped heads, consume mass quantities, and know how to narftle the garthok.

The original Art Bell wannabee. Even Art sucks the last few times I heard him. Ever since he left Pahrump and went to the Philippines for awhile, he just never seemed to be the same. I don't even listen to any of the any more.

Is he a scientist? Just because he's a retired Professor (Piled Higher & Deeper) type doesn't make him one.

Every link I can find on this guy is related to the book he's peddling. I can't find anything about his CV at all, beyond the fact that he's a Canadian which is suspicious in and of itself. Probably spends all this time hopped up on back bacon and maple syrup, just like Gerry.

In any case, just because one "scientist" thinks that UFOs are really of extraterrestrial origin (assuming he really does believe it and is not merely trying to make a buck off his book) does not mean it's a fact.

UFO 'scientists' can't tell their asses from an asteroid. They are amazingly easy to fool, and conscript with little effort if the 'phenomenon' fulfills some facet of their theories or "proofs" and furthers their public or publication agendas. Never try to discredit an 'authenticated encounter'--even if it is a complete fraud and the proof for that exists. Take out one or two big ones, and the remainder come falling down as well.

Another nut bag, and this one is not even worthy of putting on the tinfoil hat for...

W3WN

Patrick, are you implying that a highly recognized, professional, researcher & educator like Erich von Daniken is actually... a fraud?

Perish the thought.

And I am shocked! Shocked to find gambling going on within this establishement... my winnings? Oh, thank you...

So ...... your prejudice about Canadian scientists now shows it's self...... the shame of it all! ....... and for the record, I hardly ever touch back bacon or maple syrup......I can't afford to buy the stuff :sarcasm:

I'd rather buy a book by Bill O'Reilly. Uhhhhhh No.

I don't doubt at all that there is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, probably even in our own galaxy. What I do question is the veracity of people who claim that said intelligent life has visited Earth.

I've always wondered if the story about angels being thrown out of heaven and falling to Earth was about a space war.

A sure sign that these events are the real thing ........ most of the witnesses call the UFO's "spaceships" ..... so we know that they're not nuts! :geek:

There is an area of the Caribbean Sea where strange lights have been seen for hundreds of years. The first European explorer there, Christopher Columbus even noted them. The indigenous people of the area were familiar with them too. They are still seen in the area north of Puerto Rico at least once or twice weekly. My father used to debunk UFO stories. He had lived there and I had a real laugh when he told me he'd never seen one when he was there. My friend and his wife grew up there and said they used to go to the beach at night to watch the UFOs come out of the water. Happened quite often too.

I tend to remain skeptical. Thus far there is only anecdotal evidence for UFO's and space aliens. Just because this guy holds a degree in psychology doesn't make him correct. There are plenty of Ph.D scientists who swear that global climate change is just a hoax. Is it possible that there really are UFO's from space and alien abductions ? Yes it is possible. Is there and real hard evidence to support it ? No, very little if any. Mostly anecdotal evidence from which no real scientific conclusions can be drawn. It looks to me like this guy is merely looking to sell books. I remain skeptical.

Interesting that you brought up this picture of Amanda Tapping......I actually saw her when the production company for Statgate SG-1 was doing location shooting at St.Pauls Hospital in Vancouver..... my father-in-law's cardiologist is based there and we ran into all the hoopla there when I took him there for his yearly heart check-up a few years back.I saw her on the hospital grounds from a distance shooting a scene.....got to tell ya,she's a lot prettier in person then any image recorded by a camera

Well, I can leave the part about HAM raadio out but the fiddle player part is ok. A lot of chicks really do dig fiddle players. Women know that us musician types are cool. Also, there are a lot of really hot chicks who play the fiddle. Why do you think I took it up to begin with ?? ;)
