How many of you are aware that the rhythm in the intro of the Rush song YYZ is from the Morse code for YYZ? YYZ is of course the code for Toronto International Airport.

Never noticed. I have noticed that you can swing "73", though.

I actually did know this, as well as it being Toronto's Ident. And no pointless info is wasted here!
Being a 30 year CW op, the most musical calls i've ever heard were NE5E and UU2NNO. Run those a few times and tell me it doesnt get stuck in your head. The poor UU2 op couldnt call CQ without people having fun with it.

Pointless (useless) info is the glue that holds this place together. Just ask "Gorilla Glue" Carl.

One of my buds in high school could play percussion from Rush like in his sleep. But he could not handle Morse code. He had no rhythm for that whatsoever.

The band "M" had one if I recall, but it escapes me.
