Then one day, after prayers, lo and behold! Lightning cracks, thunder rumbles, the bushes burn but are not consumed, the heavens shake, the skies part... you know, the usual Hollywood overdone cliche special effects... clearly something is about to happen, and the pious person falls to their knees in humbleness. "Is that... is that really you, Lord"

A voice booms out of nowhwere, and everywhere. "Yes, it is I. I have come to grant your prayer."

"Oh, thank you Lord, thank you!"

"There's just one thing I need you to do. One small thing."

"Oh, anything Lord, anything!"

"Meet me half-way. Buy a lottery ticket."

I thought of the lottery as a voluntary tax on those who do not understand math. However, I learned a different lesson last night. I joined a local social club mainly to have breakfast with my Dad, or drink my ginger ale while my friends are getting loaded. If I had stopped by, and signed up after visiting my Mother in the hospital Tuesday night, I would be $8000 richer today. They drew my name yesterday.:irked:

I played PB in FL before it was here in New York. Did some quick picks where the computer chooses the numbers. Played 4 tickets 2X a week for 11 weeks. Never had a single number.

I saw a news article that said pretty much all the number combinations are covered. What defines "pretty much" I don't know, but I think tonite is the night. If I won that money, I'd buy up the entire Dayton Hamfest and move it to North Carolina some place.

I wonder if there is any possibility that instead of Zephyrhills, Fl., they meant New River, AZ. Is so, I might be willing to go out to the truck and look at my ticket.

I think I knew a girl that had Zephyrhills, but she didn't live in FL.
