View Full Version : Timing is everything
Got to the hospital just in time to hold my wife's hand as the nurses busted their asses trying to get her pain under control. I have to say that the quality of the care the nurses provide at Kaiser San Diego has been outstanding. When the chips are down, those fine ladies jump to it. It took a little bit of time but the XYL has been comfortable ever since.
Then, I got home just in time to help the mother-in-law through an angina attack, which was just coming on as I walked through the door. I hooked her up to the oxygen concentrator and put a nitroglycerin tablet under her tongue and all was fine within minutes.
Got her comfortable, got her dinner, then came home and had a double tequila. Now I'm comfortable too. Anyone up for a QSO?

Shit, Carl, I hope everything settles down a bit.
Can't do the radio gig at the moment, got a storm blowing through. Had a wind gust of 65-70 about 20 minutes ago. My vertical looked like it was horizonatally poloraized for a bit. If the lightning dies down soon, we can give it a go.

Damn, you had a busy day. Nice to be there when they needed you. On days like this, put your tequila in the freezer. Medicinal purposes, you know. QSO?, I don't swing that way. BUDDY
Where you talking about QSOing?

I dunno. 20 and 40 are my best nightime bands. Pick a freq, any freq.

The receive must be terrible for everyone. Everyone is talking at once.
T-storms here, and I just got into bed with my favorite martini. Maybe another time.
Well, if any of you aren't afraid of a little wind or bright lights/loud noises, I'm monitoring 7289.50.

You got WS4B 0.5 above you (AM). Besides, I have too many SWR's on 40 tonight. 14.238?

I need either to put up my TA-33 Senior or sell the damn thing.
Mine too. I'm a little better on 40, which is why I wanted to try that first. I have a few SWRs on the 20m phone band but I can tune 'em all out on 40.
Band seems very quiet for a Friday night. Is there something good on TV?
