Giada get’s my vote. I can never pay attention to what she is making, but that is ok...

I knew that her show must have something to do with food. I always have an overwhelming urge for milk afterwards.

See how different people can be? I always thought she had pretty eyes. And of course, a nice rack.

I never noticed the eyes, I couldn’t even tell you what color her hair is. My eyes are trained on the primal jugs of life and can not be re focused for some reason when I watch that show. I don’t even know what that show is about...

She cooks too?

She must since every one here is pretty hot and steamy.

So, David, how long do you think this thread would have lasted on The Zed?

I like Anthony Bourdain. Here's an episode about gourmet hot dogs.

Because of him, I have tried french fries cooked in duck fat.

OMFG! Incredible!

Huge Bourdain fan here, too. Have you seen his new show, Parts Unknown? Sunday nights on CNN.

I've seen Parts Unknown. :agree:

I think he and the River Monsters dude should collaborate, travel, catch and cook.

Andrew Zimmern is another one. Yes, I would try a lot of the things he does.

NSFA, Not Suitable For Arachnophobes. Well, maybe revenge.

Cheap to produce, mostly.

And the crews will work for food. They even have the cardboard signs to prove it.

Especially here since they make a mean Tequila out of the agave plants.

When I had cable, I watched Bizarre Foods and Chopped every week.

My all time favorite food show would be Good Eats. Just the right amount of food know how and nerd stuff to make it interesting.

I used to really like watching the original Japanese version of "Iron Chef," if for no other reason that to see what bizarre item they were going to feature on any given show:

"Tonight's secret ingredient: Sweetfish Innards!"

Shows like Restaurant Impossible, Kitchen Nightmares, Hell's Kitchen and so on are not really food shows. They're not about the food.

They're about strife and conflict and then fairy-tale endings.

Now REAL food/cooking shows I never missed included The Frugal Gourmet, Justin Wilson's Cajun show (name?), and Yan Can Cook.

Restaurant Impossible, Restaurant Stakeout, and the restaurant visitor thing are not food only shows, but show the business side of food business, from decor, menus, cleanliness, personnel training, and food costing/pricing. And some food preps are shown. For some with an MBA, we take notice.
