Of all the places to wedge itself. It fell in space just about the same size it is, but landed just right to get stuck. Amazing.

I must've passed by that spot a dozen times. It was on the way to church for me. They will probably be finding them for years to come. There's a lot of nooks and crannies down there...

Which brings up the age old question, why are they called nooks and crannies, and not crans and nookies? Inquiring minds want to know.

When I read this today, I thought it odd that there was a piece of rope wrapped around it and apparently no marks to indicate that it did any damage on the way down. Apparently the police are skeptical as well and think it may have been put there on purpose. Not trying to buy into conspiracies, but holy fuckballs batman, it does seem... Strange.

I've looked at several different photos of that, and I'm not so sure it's rope. It looks more like stranded cable, but then again, I could be full of shit, too.

Amazing how the biggest city in America can hide something like that for over a decade.

You'd be surprised how many things lie hidden in a big city like NY. It's amazing some of the past history they uncover when they renovate an old building, check a narrow airshaft between buildings, or work in the basement confines of old buildings. Sometimes they find some real vintage gems that are incredible artifacts of bygone days.
