Check out this yard sale find. The Westinghouse refrigerator radio. It was given as a premium to customers who bought a new Westinghouse refrigerator in the years 1945-1947. It works, but has a loud hum. The filter caps in the P/S will have to be changed.
Here is more about it.http://antiqueradio.org/WestinghouseH-126RefrigeratorRadio.htm

Very cool, and a good way to get your brand recognized.
You planning to refinish the case too?

You planning to refinish the case too?I'm not sure yet Fred. Maybe just a light cleaning on the metal, then repaint the sides.

Cool find, hard question. Does one refinish the outside or does "patina" mean something? LOL!
Worthy of research.

Neato. I love the old radios. Is the case Bakelite? The finish is painted on, so it may be plastic.

Very cool but in the picture, the chips on the finish give one the impression of porcelain. At least from where I'm sitting ... which isn't where you're sitting.
Don't refinish it, at least not until you ascertain whether or not there's any collector's value to the thing at all. If so, refinishing will reduce its value considerably.
That's a beauty. What is the color of the sides?
