I don't think smoking is too much reality but dumb people drunk off their asses showing out in public is.

The chef-contestants are proving themselves to be just as obnoxious as Ramsey is..........reality television at it's best!

I've watched a lot of Ramsey's shows and I wish that more people would take the kind of pride in their craft as he does in his.

We've had a surfeit of cooking programs recently and no-one has been bad-tempered at all, often quite the opposite. Checkout Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry for example. He is probably a good cook, we never watch him, but is Gordon Ramsey's display a selling point for the program?

Not all of Ramsey's shows are about dealing with incompetence. He does have quite a sense of humor. The F Word comes to mind.

It all comes down to three ideals,

1. Q - Quality

2. S - Service

3. C - Cleanliness

Ramsey has a couple of other show running on BBC America, Kitchen Nightmares and Hotel Rescue(?). They go in and place cameras and Ramsey gets to pick apart the operation of your kitchen; in return there is always a redecoration of the restaurant and refitting of the kitchen and of course, a new "Gordon Ramsey" designed/approved menu.

I see the Food Network is trying to establish a Ramsey clone..... British chef Robert Irvine in Restaurant:Impossible he's not half as obnoxious as Ramsey but his shows follow the same type of format :chin:
