The TR-7 is down on RF power—I'm only getting 40 watts out on CW for some reason. I need to troubleshoot it.

Have a look at the ALC adjustment potentiometer. There's also a gain compensation adjustment pot on the PA board which is used to set the effective predriver gain on the upper (20-30MHz) PA range.

You may find the following article to be of use. The drifty resistor bit is among the first things I would check:

Sorry I missed this, busy evening.

Did get 5W0M on 10 CW on Saturday. Early afternoon, could barely copy him, forgot about it while doing some other things. Late afternoon, 59+20, once I figured out his split, 1 call.

You bet. If the wind doesn't take down the antennas I just put back up. Gusts over 50 mph here. Glad the fire season hasn't started yet. What's your favor, PSK or SSB? And, pick a frequency.
