The city started putting the teen pregnancy prevention ads in the subway. Problem is, it's right next to the slip and fall lawyer ads, including one that advertises divorce..

I am sorry to hear that. In many ways I thought it was a good idea. It was designed to raise awareness about the responsibilities of becoming a parent. Particularly important for young people who are often not ready to meet those responsibilities.

I like the intent. Stop teens from becoming pregnant in the first place instead of letting them have a dangerous abortion. Maybe scare tactics are what they need.

How dare you bring up the matter of personal responsibility.

Do you have to inject your silly ass politics in every thread?

Seems to me, they chased someone else off of here for doing the same shit.

Tool.

Seems that some people thrive on negative attention. Had a cat like that. Best to let them play their little games for those with little minds and otherwise just Stay Calm and Keep on Truckin'.

There was a Youngstown Crab company billboard beside a local strip club. It said, all you can eat crabs $9.95. It made me chuckle every time I drove by it until they replaced it. It stood for about two years.

How often did you get the crabs?

Never. I have never been into the strip club thing. What is the point of watching someone strip if they are not going home with you? Im sure some of them would go home with you if you paid, but that was never something I wanted to experiment with either.

Odd you say that. It's why pushes to make both contraception and morning after pills easily available are being made; and being fought by the GOP, using your employer.

If I was there...and had access to that buzzer...the head nurse would likely resign her position from fatigue. And from a runny nose.

Just sayin'.

Both are widely available. Teens still get pregnant.

The morning after pill isn't 100% effective, or even close to it. Condoms? Eh, a lot of people skip them because it's not as good. Besides, they can burst.

Besides, teens think they're invincible. They think they can pull out and escape getting pregnant. They may get away with it for a while then one time either get too caught up in the moment or simply forget.

But scaring the shit out of them with a good dose of reality can help. It won't help everyone but it will make some people stop and think. I nearly burned my hand off as a teen trying to make homemade fireworks. Don't do that anymore. Now I only do it safely, and even got a pyorotechnics license a few years back (I haven't kept it up, lost interest).

Parents should be the decider if their kids get the morning after pill. The state shouldn't be the first line of defense in raising a child.

Eh, at least you're not obsessed with pregnant teenage boys... are you?
