Besides the usuals suspects (Adblock Plus, JSview, Flashblock, and Foxclocks), there are other great plug-ins for Firefox. Here, we can share our favorites, and why.

In addition to one of Jeff's favorites, Web Developer (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/web-developer/?src=ss), there is Live HTTP Headers.

Live HTTP headers list all the transactions between the browser and host. Also handy to help locate add-ons that record your web visits and other questionable activity.

Live HTTP Headers: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/live-http-headers/

Also: Table2clipboard - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dafizilla-table2clipboard/
Copy tables from webpages to documents, with the styles intact.

Memory Fox - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/memory-fox/
Helps tame Windows(FireFox) memory leaks, and prevent the browser to crawl.

BetterPrivacy - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/betterprivacy/?src=search
I think Charles pointed this one to me. Remove or manage a new and uncommon kind of cookies

In the usual suspects I'd include 'Ghostery'...

ePUB reader (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/epubreader/?src=search) - allows you to read ePUB books online. Handy with Project Gutenberg's free books. Better than PDFs or Text files.

WIFI Finder (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/wifi-finder/?src=search) - Scans for WiFi in range of your computer. Great for Laptops in strange territory.

Murdoch Block (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/murdoch-block/?src=ss) - With hundreds of holdings globally, Murdoch's holdings aren't always apparent. This makes it easy to avoid rampant news abuse.
