Just another wild animal running the streets of Fun City.
Three months after a runaway pony and zebra caused a stir on Staten Island (http://www.silive.com/news/index.ssf/2012/11/zebra_and_pony_on_the_lamb_in.html), another wayward barnyard animal is making headlines in NYC -- this time in Brooklyn. A stray goat was spotted in the parking lot of Brooklyn's Interfaith Medical Center in Crown Heights Thursday morning, according to a report by WCBS New York (http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2013/02/07/runaway-goat-cornered-in-brooklyn-parking-lot/), citing Long Island affiliate WLNY.
Six police officers chased the animal and caught up with it about a mile away to another parking lot. But they were in luck. The attendant was a West African native who was -- believe it or not -- a goat herder in his native country, according to the report.
When I moved there, there were reports of people seeing an elephant for a period of nearly two years. Oddly enough they caught him when two cops saw him duck behind a building...
