I was given an oldie but goodie signal generator that has this type of jack on it:

8554

Is this a type N?

Here's a pic of the signal generator, btw. Can't find a manual for it on the internets, tho.

8555

It's a Measurements Corp. Model 82 Serial 486 mfd in Boonton, NJ.

You do have to have an "N" call to use one though. You know. Be a part of the "N" crowd.

Yep, that's an N connector. They are a big improvement over the UHF connectors us hams use.

It's a type-N female connector. Just connect the male and you're in business:

Here on the Island, we don't discriminate on the basis of gender preference. If he wants to connect another female connector to his signal generator, that's perfectly fine.

And for those who don't want their connectors having sex on the workbench, there's always the genderless APC-7 connectors found on network analyzers, and such.

That's a not an N connector. Please don't tell me you're advocating inter-species sex—you pervert.
