It was 67 yesterday at 3:05 PM on the beach.

Not exactly Polar Climes but whatever gets the people together to strengthen a sense of community is good.

They had a Polar Bear event at La Jolla the same day. Revelers dared to enter the FRIGID 60 degree water for a few seconds before running back to the shore to warm up.

Think I would rather do the Polar Bear event in Florida or Hawaii on New years!

Hmmm, i always thought the Polar Bear event was folks stripping down to their skivies and jumping into freezing arctic waters. This is a normal day at a northern beach.
