How'd you like this in your backyard?

That's a "backyard"? The video would have been over after the first 13 seconds in my yard. Seriously, though, a very cool video. I would love to see it with some new-fallen snow!

I couldn't help but think about all the wire antennas one could loft into those big old trees without the neighbors ever being aware of it.

Wow! That was cool, but I am a little disappointed that the cat didn't jump out somewhere and scare the hell out of all of us......my cats would have been all over that!

Yep, G scale... and BEYOND cool! That person has built "living art". The time and money invested must be un-beliveable.

The video kinda reminds me of the 60's TV show "Land of the Giants"...

I recall back in the '70's there was a similar railroad at the L.A. county fair grounds that I'd spend all day watching. I have a Lionel layout that I'll work on again some year... Actually, that's what I built the model radio tower for.

Thanks, Kelli... :-D

G scale is it, I've seen garden railroads before but nothing like THIS! Then there's that house that reeks of money... sigh.

WHAT neighbors?

"Too much upkeep for me."
That's what servants are for.

Darn ... tried to show my son the train video as he was headed off to bed and the video owner has made it private on You Tube. Crap.

FYI.....the layout is NOT mine, nor is the video...I WISH it was mine...

I also did NOT make it private nor do I own it....

for some unknown reason it was marked private by the actual owner...maybe
too many views...or someone felt threatened by all the attention???

the actual owner is listed as NEALS384....

I have received 2 mails this morning asking why I took it down....it WASN'T ME!!!

I've seen much larger layouts but never in a person's backyard or built and/or maintained by an individual.

Very nice.

Last year we visited the model ralroad museum at Balboa Park in San Diego. If you are into model railroading this is one you have got to see. There are three primary clubs that run it and the layouts a no only huge but absolute works of art. The level of detail in the towns and even inside the buildings is incredible and very imaginative.
