So this afternoon I decide to go to this meeting over at church. And this 30 something woman was there that I didn't know. Kinda cute,,,,

So next thing you know she tells all this tale of her former life as an exotic dancer. It was terrible and full of debauchery, but it was very uplifting so I was smiling from ear to ear. I can't understand why my buddy kept elbowing me in the ribs. I think the devil must have made him do it. I better pray for him.

Hey, it was in the rectory basement. Stuffing dollars in her panties is frowned upon there. Besides she said she was reformed. I wouldn't want to lead her astray.

That's the way it always happens. You slide them all the dollar bills and then, you get none, you see none, and you touch none. Upstairs or downstairs. Papal law, I think. You can look it up on the internet, it may even be in the Geneva Convention.

I remember when we used to go cruizin' and boozin' all over NE PA when I was in my teens. Stop in Edwardsville at Nicks Villa and pick up a few pounds of Chesapeake Blues, and find a case of Gennie Cream Ale or Rolling Rock (cheap local beer back then), and cruise all night listening to Alice Cooper, Commander Cody, Hank Jr or Conway Twitty on the 8-track. :) Never got caught and never scratched a fender.

Frank Zappa is probably the greatest musician, music writer, and music composer of the 20th and 21st century. The man was literally a musical genius. I rank him right up there with the master writers/composers of all time like Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Handel. In contemporary times there was none better than Frank Zappa. The man was brilliant. He was a true musical genius of our time. He was incredibly innovative and his music encompassed many different musical genres including rock, jazz, folk, classical, and more.

Crack pipe ??? Are you joking ? Look at the man's history and involvement in music from his early days right through to his later years and tell me he doesn't rank among the worlds top musicians and composers. I am not saying he will receive the recognition we give to some of the famous composers, many of which I happen to like also. But I consider Zappa to be right up there...

Here is his Wikipedia page for a brief rundown of his extensive talents and abilities.

Zappa's music was different. It was not "boozin and cruzin" It's was written to be listened to carefully. It is straight and clear thinking music. It is a lot like classical music in that regard, although much of it is not in a classical genre.

Whatever.

There are many people with long, varied musical careers that I don't like to listen to. For example, Bob Dylan has done a lot for the music industry, has written many great songs over his career, and has lots of talent just like Zappa. However, to listen to the man "sing" is like listening to nails on a chalk board.

I don't think there's any doubt that Frank Zappa was a genius, and not just musically.

Thing is, most of his music is not, never was, and never will appeal to the "popular" tastes. Someone weaned on the pop music culture (be it the rock, rap, country, or whatever subculture you prefer) may never "get" it.

Okay, what is and what you like are two different things. Mozart was an incredibly brilliant composer. A musical genius. But not everyone enjoys listening to his style of music. I for one can't figure out what there is not to like about it but, different people have different tastes in music. Similarly Zappa. He is a brilliant composer and musician but yeah, not everyone likes his work. But it doesn't change the fact that he was one of the greatest musical geniuses to come along in the 20th century. Much like not everyone may like the music of Wagner or Mahler. But it still can't be denied that they were both musical geniuses.

I know. I just wanted to make clear that I support a persons choice regardless of my own personal preferences. I consider small tattoos okay. As a matter of fact small tattoos can be nice. What I was mainly referring to were large tattoos where it covers the arms, legs, back, and/or a large part of the body. But a small tattoo on the arm, leg, shoulder... or... wherever the imagination takes it... is not bad at all. I guess my preference is for moderation and being subtle as opposed to excessive.
