I bought my nephew's cap & gown for his high school graduation..

I was just invited to my high school reunion..

I just woke up to discover it was my Mom's 70th birthday..

My High School now has joint reunions with other classes every other year.

My daughter is 26 years old.

My Dad is 84 and my mother is 80. Sarah's parents have been dead for 12 years.

My brother is retiring next year.

I never thought I'd be 54 years old and unemployed for almost a year. But it happened.

Turns out it's going to be all good. Sarah has her dream job, I'm getting out of this sterile suburb and I'm going to live in a house I never EVER thought I'd ever be able to get. Also, the job market for what I do is booming in that part of the world.

Let me leave you with this. when I was about your age, I had no job and a 5 year old with no child support from the other parent. We got through it. It's just a matter of not giving up.

Yes, there's been some time of deep depression, but I never gave up

oh god no... want no part of that. I figured if i was going to have kids.. id have them when I was really young.. so they are out of the house by the time im 37-40... ended up with 0 kids dont want none now....
