The Canon Selphy printer series (current models are the CP-800 & 900) are excellent for printing QSL cards. It makes postcard size prints and does an super job doing it. The prints aren't inkjet -- they're dye-sublimation and that means that they're waterproof & won't run.

Per card, the cost is probably very high compared to offset printing. But, in actual use, you only need to print what you need and I'd guess that that might bring total cost in line with printing. Especially if you change your address regularly. With one of these printers you won't wind up with piles of cards with the wrong address.

In addition, there's a battery available for it to make it portable.
