I would be shoate minded to think you were a boar. But there are signs that might be indicative of such, two signs, three signs, maybe porcines could lead us to the place where they keep the pig pens that could write such an accusation that would result in a court judgement of a silk purse. But as for me, I am bacon on the beach with a Mia Tia listening to the band, they Duroc don't they?

For one, because my keyboard on the desktop is a Spanish keyboard and for two I had to set up functions to make my keyboard function as a Spanish keyboard so my wife can use it. :P

I can supply versions that would be suitable for embroidering. I did work for a local company that contracted with Walt Disney Studios to convert pix of classic Disney characters into files to be used by embroidering machines.

kf0rt
09-27-2012, 08:20 AM
A lot of the punching (vernacular for creating embroidery files) is outsourced to India these days. I work with a guy who is one of the world's experts at that. He's out of the punching business now -- too hard to make money with all the outsourcing these days. There are sites where you can submit a graphic and they'll turn the design around fast and cheap (but not necessarily good). You need to know what machine (brand/model) it will be sewn on. Not all file types (and there are MANY) are compatible with all machines.

NQ6U
09-27-2012, 08:25 AM
Generally speaking, an Adobe Illustrator file is the gold standard—it can be converted into whatever specialized file an embroidery machine needs. I created the logo in Illustrator and Jeff has copies of the original .ai files so there should be no problem.

But that may have changed as well.

When I hear back from him, I'll ask him about the vinyl work. Randy's a good guy, and he does great work. He's just gotten so busy with the woodworking & vinyl business that we don't see too much of him at club functions anymore, which is a real shame.

Just to keep things legal, I would presume, Jeff, that you are the copyright holder for the new logo? And if so, do we have your blessing to proceed?

Although it is a little more costly, a few years ago I had some shirts embroidered with my company logo. It was neat. They just fed the art work into a computer, and the sewing machine took off like hells afire, and voila, neato tee. And they last forever if it's put on a quality shirt. For me, I'd pay the extra because it has styyyyyyyyyyyyyyyle and claaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssssssss.

In theory. Donations have been way off lately.. people gave too much up front and I was able to spent it on us pretty fast. :) Few months of server payments and the well went dry. The donation drives are great, because a good amount of money comes in all at once -- but it'd be nice if people just randomly and periodically donated. It'd spread things out nicely. :dunno: No biggie.. we're alright. I normally supplement the payments out of my own pocket, but I've been broke lately. :)
