In New York City Sweden, a drunk man coming home from a party, lost his balance and fell on the tracks. Another person at the subway station, sees this and jumps down. Then, instead of helping him, he quickly takes his wallet and leaves him there unconscious on the tracks...

A drunk, middle-aged man falls off a subway platform and is knocked unconscious as his head hits the tracks. A bystander who witnessed the accident jumps down after him - but not for a daring rescue before the train arrives.
Instead, the witness steals the man's valuables, climbs back on the platform and leaves his victim to be hit by a train.

This reminds me of something that actually did happen in NYC back in the early 1980's. Some young woman was waiting for a train and a mugger comes up and grabs nher pocketbook. She struggles to hold on to it and he shoves her onto the tracks. The train is approaching and she desperately tried to climb back up to the platform. But the mugger keeps pushing and kicking her back onto the tracks. The driver see's what is happening and manages to stop the train in time to avoid hitting her. The mugger splits with the woman's pocketbook. The police take a report, the giver her treatment at a nearby hospital and they drive her to her apartment. When the cops reach her apartment what do they find ? Yep, the same mugger is in her apartment ransacking the place. Apparently he wasn't satisfied with the money he stole from her pocketbook so he checked her address from the id's in her purse and figured he'd head up there and see if there was anything else to steal. Since the keys were in her pocketbook it was easy to gain entry to the apartment. I remember reading this in the newspapers and I was astounded as to how arrogant, brazen, greedy and downright stupid some people can be.
