The callsign to watch for is W9NA and the plan is to use the JOTA freqs. 7.190 and 14.290 would be good places to start, or just keep an eye on the cluster. Helen's group will be doing the ham radio thing around 1PM Central (1800Z).

If they'll be active this evening I'll try them on 40. Going for a 45-miler in a few. One of these days I'll bolt an FT-817 to the bike's bars.

We've actually had to hire an accountant and build a new building to deal with your tab.

I was expecting a QSO on 40M, but they were set up on VHF. I don't do a lot of 2M so I just have the basic FM vert and a 7 element yagi for some local comms. They couldn't hit the repeater here, I couldn't hit the one there. As luck would have it, one of the repeaters there is jacked in to Echolink. I had put the Echolink app on my ipod a while back so quick as I could I got myself logged in and used my ipod like a HT in this end. It was hard copy on this end, small speaker in the ipod, a lot of background noise on their end, and a little girl that was a bit quick with the key, not giving the link time to drop.

If you have some still photos & give me a little write-up, I will print it in my club newsletter.

Sorry I missed you guys, I was busy working outside & lost track of the time; by the time I realized, it was too late!

Only after a minor rain and the Salt River is running bank to bank at 1000 MPH. (I know it's CFS for water, but I can't count past 20 without pulling down my pants, and then only...............never mind)
