I was glued to the entire video. What happened? Why is this not in use today?

I've seen this before, on another board. Enjoyed it both times (the other version was shorter). The music was good too! Before Layla there was Lila!

There's a pressing need for this type of conveyance here in San Diego.

It would work great on the beach!

Great idea. I wonder why some of the best ideas never get put into production? I looked around and they were being made into the 60s, but there's not much after that.

I could sure use one of those here in the winter. One of my neighbors has had to come pull my tractor out of the snow a couple of times with his 4wd version.

I was looking at that thing and it occured to me that with the right balancing in place, it could easily be amphibious. Those kinds of screws can really move in water, no?

They sure can, but you nailed it with the balance thing.

Yeah, i would imagine it sucking pretty bad to flip in water then take a tractor to the face...with spinning screws after that.

I'd like a 'lil o' KRISTI Snowcat... VW powered.

The ones made in BeNeLux were amphibious and unlike many of these could be used on dry land also. I wonder what gas mileage was on these?

Oh, i would guess you need to put a pair of paddles and a pair of snowshoes onboard as you would likely be needing them to get home.
