Winds are high, I have no gear to measure it because I'm not a whacker.. 35mph-ish? Maybe? Old ladies seem concerned about blowing over.. even the fat ones, which I can't explain.

Raining like hell, "waves" moderately big for the Gulf.. nuclear power plant in sight, ahhh.. paradise.

And the Republicans cancelled their convention over this? Pussies. :-D

We had 2 inches of rain yesterday, temp 20 C and 30 knot wind, so just another summer here...

It was enough for them to cancel my parents flight from Madrid to Miami. From their message, I assume they left Madrid at 920AM my time. 24 hour delay. Now it seems that the flight from Miami to PIT has also been canceled. Or at least one of them. I wish my parents would have updated me with the new flight numbers.

I digged catching some waves.. was able to rent a cheesy-ass board for a couple of hours. But it was a lot of fun; really makes me homesick. But I know I'd go crazy -- I'm already stir crazy after a couple of weeks..

Didn't know you were a surfer, Jeff... I dated a surfer dude when I was younger....let's just say he and I both had smiles on our faces when we were together :)
