Don't really know who he is, but may he be in heaven 1/2 hour before the Devil uses his CB to alert his minions.
Is "The Truckin' Bozo" a handle??

He had a radio show overnights on Clear Channel stations. He played classic country and catered to truckers. I'm sure he was a great guy, but I gotta say we in the radio biz used to refer to him as the f*ckin bozo, mostly because he was the guy that took over overnights via satellite on so many CC stations that were bought and put local talent out of work.

Sad news indeed. I covered many miles with the "Bozo". He was a good man and covered the issues in the trucking industry very well for years. His son Steve does his show now. You can catch it on 700 WLW (Cincinatti) from Midnight until 5 AM Eastern if I remember correctly. I didn't know Dale was a ham. Sad news.......

I only heard him on WLW and Sirius. I've never heard him on another radio station. Are you sure you have the right Bozo? BTW, very little music and mostly trucker related talk and news.

Never heard or heard of the gentleman on the air, but if he kept the truckers entertained during their runs, he was a good man. RIP OM.

Going back years and years, like when Jacor was still around and CC bought them... 1990's. Yes, he did play quite a bit of music. That's what I remember of his show anyway.
From Wikipedia, and this coincides with what I remember:
Prior to the Truckin' Bozo's move to satellite, the show was also carried on approximately a dozen terrestrial stations across the United States, mostly 50,000-watt "clear channel" stations. Though most of the stations dropped ATN after the Bozo's move, two 50,000-watt stations, WWVA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WWVA_%28AM%29)/1170 in Wheeling, West Virginia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheeling,_West_Virginia) and KWKH (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KWKH) in Shreveport, Louisiana (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shreveport,_Louisiana), continued to carry the program through 2009.
And I meant nothing derogatory against him BTW. He always seemed the jovial type and I'm sure he helped keep a lot of truckers awake and feeling like they had someone keeping them company in the middle of the night.
