Or maybe they're just moving everything offshore. In any case, there's an auction (http://www.thompsonauctioneers.com/R-L-Drake-Holdings-LLC-a186041.php) for their stuff beginning next month. Reason given is that they're "Discontinuing Dayton Operations."

They stopped building amateur radio gear years ago but it's still kind of sad to see them go under.

Remember, the family sold the company to Blonder Tongue Laboratories, so they may simply be consolidating operations and/or moving the manufacturing facilities elsewhere.
