Outside of the fact that it was written by a guy named knobs, doesn't ring a bell.

Have you seen the remake with Martin Clunes?

The original "Rise of Fall of Reginald Perrin" with the late Leonard Rossiter was better but Clunes seems to do well with most things.
As for Mrs Slocum's "pussy", it seems to have a greater connotation in the US than in the UK. I had a nursery rhyme derivative containing "pussy" meaning "cat" removed from here for that reason. Anyway I didn't get where I am today.........

John Cleese....I laugh just hearing his name. "On those trays..." <= one of my favorite bits.
Who remembers him with the Tuborg "Better not bitter" radio commercials in the 80's. Each of them was a gem. He also did some spots for some kind of English toffee, but I forget which brand.
Just checked youtube & didn't find either one....but DID find a treasure-trove of other videos of him. There's an evening in the youtube time sink!

John Cleese has a fantastic series of business and sales training videos.
I know so many of the British comedy shows. Love them, and used them a lot when teaching skiing to visitors from the UK (and Europe).
For instance, folks tend to over flex and squat lower when scared or challenged. This means they are not using the strength of the skeleton, and getting all tired due to using too much muscle power to stay upright.
Now that is intellectually and bio-mechically correct, but hard to remember and a bit dry.
Therefore, Squatty is Grotty!
We can get a John Cleese satnav "director" among others. Just imagine!
