Actually I don't mind the cold. If it gets too cold I just put on a heavier jacket, throw a few more logs on the fire, stoke up the furnace, throw down an extra blanket, etc. If I'm outside and moving around I hardly even feel it. Contrast that with the heat where I am baking in the sun, constantly drenched and dripping with sweat. Plus, hot weather is the only weather that ever actually made me sick (heatstroke). Never had any problems in the cool/cold weather.

Besides, In a few years we may not have to worry about cold and snow anyway. Our biggest concern may be trying to survive back to back blazing heat waves and brutal summer storms.

Actually that snow scene would have been very welcome back in July one afternoon this summer when I was trudging home (uphill all the way) drenched from head to tow in sweat in blazing (near 100 deg) heat and super high humidity and direct sun the whole way. At that moment I was almost wishing for a blast of cold arctic air and some hard snow. Probably a good thing I didn't get that wish, the thermal shock would have probably been too much to deal with.
