Somebody's bound to get in BIG trouble for sleeping at the helm. Visual or radar an oil tanker is too big to ignore.
Yeah, the career of the destroyer's CO is down the tubes for sure.

But the tanker is truly hard-core; put some weaponry on that puppy and hoist the black flag!

I've come to like this one:
6802
Raise the Jolly Rodger!
Let's see....a 300,000 ton tanker vs. an 8,600 ton destroyer. This outcome will not be good. Regardless of who breached the rules of the road, that destroyer C.O. is toast. I wonder if the tanker even got its paint scratched?

Oil tanker = self-propelled steel-berg.
Regardless of who breached the rules of the road, that destroyer C.O. is toast.
Yep. Living in a Navy town as I do, I'm pretty familiar how this sort of thing goes down. The CO's career is dead in the water and he will be "advised" to take a retirement.
