OK, boys and girls.....
http://www.ncjweb.com/naqprules.php
The playing field is pretty level. QRP, or 100 watt categories only.
Who's going to show up? :shifty:
How much QRZ butt hurt will there be? :snicker:
Tune in next weekend. Same bat time, same bat channel!

Maybe you should start a Butthurt Rollcall over there so the whiners can sign up early.

Don't forget the one white glove on the T/R switch hand. Just turn the switch easily, and don't BEAT IT.

Best to wait until about 2 days before the contest for maximum effect. :snicker:
I'll probably get in there and play for awhile.

I'll be on. I enjoyed the NAQP a lot more than the NA SSB Sprint - that one is tough for piss-weak stations such as myself

No kidding. The Sprint CW version is rough. By the time I get them zero beat, they're gone.

No shit. I've had the problem with CW contests since I was licensed.

It's only a lynching if YOU'RE carrying the shotgun.

Speaking of the COW, I heard him briefly on 6M the other day. In any event, he also staged some butt hurt at http://forums.qrz.com/showthread.php?357370-Simon-Brown-HB9DRV-comments-on-new-HRD
His post is #2 and there is some interesting dissent coming in at post #21.

And there may be more of that to come. Pat is pretty unhappy. Just now I can't tell you why I know, or what I know, but watch for it... it is coming.

I worked the contest for just less than 2 hours and searched and pounced my way to 35 contacts. I snuck away for 2 cigarette breaks (we don't smoke in the house) and went uptown for 20 minutes and still managed my little 35 contacts. I worked a station in Aruba as well. I don't have that one.

I was doing nothing so noble. I was sitting in front of the computer, playing Command & Conquer, drinking homebrewed beer, and watching a movie on Netflix.

yeah? That sounds like fun too. I've never drank any homebrewed beer. That is interesting.... I'll have to try that someday.

Watch woot.com. Every now and then they have a Mr.Beer kit for like $20. Its a good way to get a start. Get one of their all malt kits, and pay attention to the quarterly seasonals. Buy 2 if you go with the seasonal. If you buy the cheap adjuct kits, you don't have to invest much, and you can tweak the formula. I like to do the Canadian wheat and add cherries to it.

I stopped at just over 6k points. 80 and 40 was where it was at for me - 15 opened up a little to CA in the afternoon, but it was pretty quiet otherwise :(
Got my first 160m QSO, too...I'm starting to look at 1000' spools of wire, low-band inverted-L time?

Contest? Well shit, there go the bands, the big guns will be all over MY frequency, tons of "ur 59 om repeat ur last", the sly ones will be sneaking on to the WARC bands tying that all up, a plethora of out of band operations, AMers in the SSB portion, cw everywhere, oh the humanity. Will it ever end? Did I miss anything?
