That doesn't do any good when you are not in the room!

Yeah, but if you are dumb enough leave anything valuable in a hotel room while you're out, you deserve to lose it.

Yep, which is why when Pili and I stay in a hotel we take the laptop with use when we go out.

I've got everything I need to duplicate that hack sitting out in my shack and the guy published the Arduino code on his Web site.

What about leaving my WIFE in the hotel room? If someone STOLE HER, I might have to change the litterbox MYSELF!

When I travel I generally have my valet check on hotel security for me and keep a close watch of the premises when I'm out. Or, if I need to have my valet come along with me I have my private armed security police team guard my hotel suite.

I travel a lot for work.. I always take my laptop & tablet with me or stash it in the safe -- no matter how 'nice' the hotel is. 2 star or 5 star, I'm not leaving a couple of thousand of dollars of hardware in my room.

Yep, it's always best to assume that the whole world is going to be in your hotel room while you're out.

But just to put things in perspective, with all the hotel living I've done during field assignments, I've never had a problem. That includes the 2 1/2 solid years of hotel living out in LA.

Yeah, I've never had a problem either, but I can't say that's not a result of my paranoia.

Just be sure to return them to the upright position before you leave.

If you were in London, you could catch a Tory. Especially one with no nerve.
