View Full Version : Just Had a Sauna

I just had a sauna. And all I did was have to spend some time outdoors. Classic east coast summer weather, overcast, hot, extremely humid, no air movement, and all you can do is pour sweat. For all you on the western side, if you ever get tired of your "dry heat" come east but bring plenty of anti-perspirant and be prepared to drip sweat !!

Now theres some strong isolated thundershowers passing by and in about an hour the sun will be back out and between the high humidity the evaporation will raise the ground level humidity even higher and it will really be "sweat city" out there.

I'd rather have the South French climate, hot but dry air, though the Mistral is a pita too...
Dry day, sunny but just 19 Celcius here, not much of a summer till now.( 65 F)
Not looking to get better in the next 14 days too...
Good enough to sit outside protected from the wind though, time for a BBQ ;)

Thunderstorm passed and now the sun it out... Now its time for some real sweating !! Temperature dropped a few degrees but the humidity is up to 94%. It's gonna be a beauty tomorrow and Tuesday when the temp is up to 92-95 F.

Raining a little up here in the foothills. About 70, really nice. Got up to about 85 earlier, clouds rolled in and... aaaaaaahhhhhh!

Glad I'm moving out of Denver.

Oh shush! It's hotter than the hinges of hell and the air so thick you can cut it with a knife.

Get outta Denver better go, go
Get outta Denver cause you like just like a commie and you might just be a member, better
Get outta Denver, better, get outta Denver

Shit, Warren... I was born here (1956) and never actually liked the place. It's not horrible, but might not be my first choice. Denver's really "not all that bad" but has never been much to my liking. Mostly, it's a bit crowded.

The humidity never gets that low here. Even in dry weather it's higher than that.

"Shit, Warren... I was born here ... Mostly, it's a bit crowded.

Then there's Bob Denver, John Denver, and then there are all those Denver Broncos so yeah, it's a bit crowded.

Sometimes it gets that low (24%) here at the shore believe it or not. When it does Forecast Fox and the Parkway signs tell the story, up goes the danger of fire alert. Meanwhile I don't have to steam clams for supper, just dig them out of the sand ready to eat.

74 degrees and cloudy here. Humidity is still high (around 65%) but that's normal for this area this time of year. Buig difference in temp though, yesterday at this time it was 98 and heading towards 100. Looks like the next few days are going to be "cool"... upper 70's - low 80's which will make the humidity more bearable. But looks like next week we go back toward the 90's.

If you are referring to the singer and the actor I don't think John Denver or Bob Denver are adding to the population these days. At least not in this world. ;)

There's still that bunch of wild horses fighting over a pig bladder, and then maybe a good reason NOT to get out of Denver... hmmm.

65% humidity here would be considered dangerously low. Been in the late 80s, early 90s here. Been getting afternoon thunderthighs almost daily. Haven't had the antenna hooked up in weeks. At least not for very long.

After a couple of days that felt more like March it's back to normal for the time being. It ain't over 'till the fat lady loses another 200 pounds.
