63° here this morning at 0440, but looking at 102° Friday, 100° Saturday, 97° Sunday.

Can you spell f*ck as in "cooler weather"? There is no f*ck in "cooler weather".

It's cool enough here at the moment that I'll need to wear a leather - rather than a mesh - jacket when I ride the bike to work this morning. Had a cold front dip south across Lake Erie and dropped temps almost 30 degrees from where they were over the weekend. Supposed to be back in the 90s for week's end, however.

On top of that, it hit 105 in Denver yesterday. That ties the all-time record, not for the day, but since they started keeping records.

Dayum. I thought we were having bipolar weather. 90 one day, 63 the next... Not that I'm complaining. The rest of the week should be nice and comfy.

You are in the wrong place. :) The cooler weather is here. After a few days of temps near 100 a cold front came through and socked the temps down to mid 80's. Then yesterday another cold front and some thunderstorms came through and by this morning it was 53-54 here. Right now it's 59, sunny breezy, clear blue skies and feels more like autumn than summer. Nice day if you have work to do outdoors. I don;t even need a fan much less an air conditioner today. But it's not going to last long. By Wednesday we will be increasing humidity and creeping back into the upper 80's and 90's.

This week we have a forecast of about 80-90 all week long with 33% humidity. There have been more than a few days over the past month that have been over 100. If I go just slightly south that 100 mark seems like a blessing. Its nasty down that way, heat wise.

Highs in the low to mid-seventies, lows around 60° all this week. There's a reason people come to San Diego and it ain't to see all them big, gray boats.

I'll gladly deal with the weather here if it means I can forego the masses of humanity in SoCal.

Ugh -- was kind of wondering -- looked your place up on a map and with the river near (and three steps from Arkansas), I was afraid of that.

I always figured anyplace in OK was close to CO, but you're actually closer to Shreveport than Denver. Whodathunkit?

Begs the question: why would anybody live in Ignacio? Been through there. Once. I'm pretty sure that's BIA land.

I guess there is some arable land down there, now that I see it on Google. Camped once at Navajo Lake and can attest to the fact that that is a "road less traveled." Drove through Ignacio on the way there. You guys sure like your solitude! Not a damn thing wrong with that...

I think I kissed any chance of sub 10-minute miles goodbye for a few months. Between the weather, and the damn bees that decide to chase you for a mile down the road...

If someone could teach the bees to stop chasing after a half mile or so, they'd make great interval training. They haven't gotten that memo yet, though.

NWS=CLE just issued a heat advisory for our area from 1100-2000 DST. Heat indexes of 100 or higher forecast.

The clusterf**k aspect for those of us who must commute in and around the Akron vicinity shall begin around 3:30 PM tomorrow afternoon: Portions of a major E-W highway which runs through the area have been closed for repaving. As a result it's bumper-to-bumper at times on the secondaries. I'm seriously contemplating a 2PM exodus then comp the balance of the time from home.

I feel sorry for a lot of the chopper/big-cube HD guys in this heat. One of my work friends has an 88ci Ultra Classic and he's often commented about thigh roast when riding in stop-and-go traffic. He also experienced an overheat-shutdown scenario last year when riding US 30 towards Wooster and getting into a construction backup. Of course, the idiot 4-wheeler drivers don't help matters at all.
