Living and playing around the Mississippi Delta for so long made his bass lines required reading for myself and loads of other Roadhouse flunky bottom feeders.

You did good Duck. Rest in Peace knowing you left a legacy of soulful lines in your wake.

And to think musicians of his caliber are being replaced by the current crop of Whitney/Britney/Spitney clones... :roll: :sick:

Wow..from Booker T and the MG's...did not know of him, but I rekkon he takes on a Founding Father type groove thing.
RIP and thanks...Great thing is...the tunes carry on!

He was also the bassist in the group they put together for the movie The Blues Brothers. Perhaps one of his lesser accomplishments but still the one he's best known for among those who are not big fans of blues and R&B.
