Looks like Mr. Vile Mouth has faded into the gathering darkness.
But 14313, ham radio's "Red-Light District" (and its junior partner,
7213) is still there, just catching its breath.
Boogymen come and boogymen go,
but you who have been popping popcorn and watching "The 313 Show"
for years know it won't stay quiet for long.
Who will be the next actor to strut and fret his moment on the stage,
full of sound and fury?
"Uncle Bobby," WA6MFJ, sensing a "fan club" about to lose its idol,
has tried a time or two to add 14313 to his schtick,
but he hasn't gotten much traction- at least, not yet.
I'm voting that we're going to have a different sort of boogyman this time-
one who isn't there to stir the pot and make trouble, who has no real ill intent,
but for whome trouble shall arrive as flies flock to horse floop.... Fred, WW4D.
Indeed, the taunters and tweakers have already started
poking sticks into his cage and he's responded with energetic cage rattling.
He'll never quit, unless someone finally takes a plug out of him
for all these "Pepsi" threats. As I heard someone say and as is true where I live:
violence against one's property is the same in the eyes of the law
as violence against one's person, which includes threats of violence
and may be treated as such, with unfortunate results.
Where I live, his threat to "bring a couple of Pepsis" could be
prosecuted as a "terroristic threat," and they ain't kidding about it.
One of you guys who likes Fred- and don't get me wrong, I do-
needs to have a talk with him about toning that crap down
before he gets a knock on the door.
